*Terms and Conditions:
1.The American Science Olympiad will be held for 5 categories based on school grades 1 – 5 and there will be no negative marking.
2.Grade levels for the Olympiad are determined by the current school grades(School year 2024-25) of the participants. Students and parents must provide accurate school details during registration to ensure placement in the appropriate group.
3.Eligibility: This Olympiad is open to students in Grades 1 to 5 residing in the United States.
4.The Olympiad is entirely virtual and will take place online.
5.Olympiad Dates: November 16, 17, 2024 .Registration closes on November 11, 2024.
6.Category and Schedule
•Grade 1: November 16, 2024 (12:30 PM CST)
•Grade 2: November 17, 2024 (12:30 PM CST)
•Grade 3: November 17, 2024 (2:30 PM CST)
•Grade 4: November 17, 2024 (10:30 AM CST)
•Grade 5: November 16, 2024 (10:30 AM CST)
7.Contest Structure:
•The Olympiad will consist of 30 questions for Grades 1 & 2 and 40 questions for Grades 3 to 5.
•The questions will span six main domains of science: Earth Science, Life Science, Physical Science, Space Science, Engineering Design, and Scientific Thinking.
•Question formats include multiple-choice questions, true or false, more than one correct answer, select the odd one out, case study questions, picture-based questions, jumbled words, match the following, competency-based questions, rearrangement questions, problem-solving, and engineering design questions.

•Grade 1 & 2
Number of Questions: 30.
Duration: 60 minutes
Question Types: Multiple Choice Questions, More than one correct answer, Jumbled words, Identify the odd one out, Picture based question, Case Study Based Question, Match the Following, True or False, Competency Based, Engineering Design

Number of Questions: 40.
Duration: 75 minutes

9.Awards and Scholarships:
•Top 3: 100% scholarship
•Rank 4-6: 75% scholarship
•Rank 7-10: 60% scholarship
•Rank 11-15: 50% scholarship
•Rank 16-20: 30% scholarship
All the Scholarships mentioned will be provided on the fees of The Little Scientists' group class subscription of 12 weeks.
Participation Certificates: All contestants will receive participation certificates.
10.Conditions for Awards and Scholarships:
•Winners must share their photographs and video testimonials along with consent for the American Science Olympiad to publish them on various media platforms to avail of the awards and scholarships.
•Scholarships must be availed within a maximum of 15 days after the Olympiad
.•Scholarships are applicable for new subscriptions only and not for renewals.
•Students who have already won two or more awards and scholarships in the last two years are not eligible for a scholarship even if they win the contest.
•This is a FREE ONLINE EVENT.
11.Verification and Communication:
•Students must confirm their identity upon winning. Inability to confirm identity will result in ineligibility for awards and scholarships.
•Winners will be interviewed by our PR team, and the interviews may be published across various associated channels.
•In case of missing communication post-registration, please check your email spam folders.
•Participants are requested to subscribe to our mailing list to ensure they receive all preparatory materials for the contest.
•If more than one child is registered, separate unique IDs will be provided for each.
12.Right to Disenroll: This is a private contest, and the American Science Olympiad reserves the right to disenroll any entry found inappropriate by our team.
